I would like to take a moment and introduce myself to all of you. My name is Ethan Ebenstein and I am privileged to be the new Superintendent at Comstock Park Public Schools.

For the past three and one half years, I have been serving as superintendent of White Cloud Public Schools, a rural district located in northern Newaygo County. I am also a graduate of that district as well as having worked there the past 14 years in numerous capacities. I taught in the elementary grades, from first through fourth grades, for eight years before serving as an assistant principal in the junior high, elementary principal, and ultimately superintendent. In addition, I was the boys varsity basketball coach for two seasons.

In terms of education, I received a Bachelor of Arts from Aquinas College here in Grand Rapids after high school with an emphasis on elementary education. Later, I received a Masters in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University in preparation of becoming a school administrator. I have always wanted to be in the field of education and can honestly say there is no other field I would rather be in. It is great responsibility and honor to work with today’s youth and help mold them into the leaders of tomorrow!

On a personal note, I have been happily married for 13 years to my wife Julie and we have two wonderful boys, Logan and Trevor. We have recently purchased a house in the Comstock Park school district and are anxiously waiting to move in and become immersed in the community. We look forward to meeting as many of you as we can and establishing deep roots in this terrific community!
