The Kent ISD Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Program is a partnership between Kent ISD and its constituent districts. The program provides services to families with children birth to five years of age throughout Kent County.
Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a parent education and family support program that begins prenatal and extends to age 5. Parents as Teachers believes that all parents will be their children’s best first teachers.
The Parents as Teachers program includes the following services:
- Personal visits
- Parent meetings/playgroups
- Developmental screening
- Resource network
Parents as Teachers is available to ALL families with children birth to five years of age.

Morning Play Groups
Hey, Moms, Dads, and kids! Are you looking for a morning out to meet other parents and provide your child an opportunity to play with children his or her own age? Come and visit us from 10:00 - 11 am at Greenridge Elementary. Lots of cool crafts, silly songs, fun activities, and information on child development are in store for you! Ages of children should be between 0-5. Hope to see you there!
